Happy Easter! I hope you had a wonderful weekend with family and friends. I spent Easter with my honey's family out in the country and our three furry babies were with us. Moose was kind enough to join me for this picture. Wondering what WAYF is? It's my new favorite clothing line and it stands for Where Are You From! Let me start by saying this dress is a STEAL. It's under 100 bucks! The dress is so classy but still feels super sexy with the front slit. Mildly obsessed with the lace front. If you need to be a little more conservative, lace it all the way up... if you're feeling like living on the edge... unlace it down a tad ;) I had it laced down just a pinch in these pictures. Did you see the back?! I am in love with it! The back buttons up and zips down. This dress is so different and fits like a glove yet flows so you can move and dance and do all kinds of fun things in it . You can find this dress at Nordstrom now! Shop the look below.
Happy Hair!
CommentMagic Hair Mask
There's nothing worse than having fried hair. Well, I can think of a few other things that are worse, but come on.... fried hair is pretty bad. If you're anything like me and have done a number on your hair over the years with color and over processing, then you understand my pain. I have been blond, then brunette , then redish, then back to blond and let me tell you, it's a miracle I still have a single hair on my head. It wasn't until recently I became desperate to save my long locks. I was having massive breakage and could not get my hair to feel hydrated or even look good to say the least. I was playing around with different masks and nothing was working until I tried mixing these oils together and BAM it was like magic. This requires saturating your hair in oil, so prepare to get a little messy. It's worth it.
What you need:
Organic extra virgin olive oil, organic extra virgin coconut oil, almond oil, and avocado oil. Depending on how much hair you have you will use more or less. I have long, thin hair so I use about a half ounce of each of the indigence, sometimes more if I'm super dry.
How To Mix:
If you have time to heat the oil, I highly suggest this. Make sure you do not cook the oil. Heat it for only about 1 minute on the stove so it gets warm not hot. Then on damp hair (I like to spray my hair with rose water until it's damp) apply the oil mix over your entire head and scalp. For best results completely saturate your hair in the oil. Pull your hair back or up in a bun and throw a shower cap on it. Try to let your hair sit with this oil on for a few hours if you have the time. If you don't have time to heat the oil you can still mix the oils and get similar results. Use the access oil on your body!
Once you finish, shampoo your hair with a sulfate free shampoo and then repeat for a second wash to remove all oil. Then condition it! Try to give your hair a cool rinse right before you hop out of the shower to seal in the moisture.
TIP: My favorite shampoo and conditioner is L'Oreal Sulfate free. The oils listed in the picture above are my favorite brands and affordable. You can find them all on Amazon!
Cape Crazy!
CommentFavorite basics!
Good morning!! Happy Monday. I'm going to keep this one short and sweet. If you need a new cape you have got to check this company out. Eis Los Angeles has the most beautiful capes right now. They are a new brand and I'm in love. They've become one of my favorite lines for all seasons.
My basic white T and black shorts are from one of my best friends clothing line, Bird&Vine. They have so many cute tops and bottoms and basics you will love. I live in them! Their website is under construction but you can find them at so many different online stores.

Francesca's has my heart
CommentFrancesca's is one of those brands that truly warms my heart. Not only is their customer service wonderful when you visit a store, they are always having an awesome sale. My favorite is the buy one item get the second 50% off. They do those often. I love how they have something for everyone. If you need something a little more "business" you can find it there, or a pretty dress for a night out, or my all time favorite, bohemian lounge wear, it's all there. They have great accessories like hats, hand bags, and jewelry. They even have art and cute little gifts! I always walk away with something I love when I visit them. Their online store is excellent too!

Kiss The Sky
CommentI'm absolutely head over heals in love with this Kiss The Sky Gown- Bluejay by Spell Designs. Spell Designs is a company based out of Australia that ships world wide and is found in some of my favorite boutiques around Los Angeles like Planet Blue. My favorite dresses are the ones that button from head to toe so I can wear them as a dress or a long kimono depending on my mood and where I'm going. This dress is great for summer because it's light weight and looks adorable under a cute pair of shorts and lacy top. Throw a sexy black slip on, button it up, and add a black belt and you're ready for a night on the town. I'm wearing mine over a fun beach top and lacy pair of shorts I found at Angl for a more casual look.My chocolate braided Uruguayan crystal necklace and stacked energy bracelets are from my jewelry collection. You can shop them here on my online store.

Kimono's in the snow!
CommentThis is a dress from Free People that I love to wear open over jeans. I wore it with my snow boots and all black for a dressier look. I couldn't really escape the rain boots because I don't own a cute pair of snow boots. They just so happen to go perfect with the outfit. I don't suggest them for long exposure to snow or you may get frost bite. The hat is also Free People. My worn in jeans came that way and are probably my favorite fitting black jeans I have found. They are from Cult of Individuality. One-of-a-kind necklace by yours truly. Shop it or one like it in my shop!
This is probably one of my all time favorite kimono dresses. It's made by Arnhem, and they have so many beautiful pieces on line. Click the pic above to get one or something like it. It is so beautiful and goes great with jeans and boots or a cute pair of shorts and basic tank for summer. I wear it in the winter with darker clothes to give a more "winter" look because I'm in total denial that summer is not in full effect at all times.
This kimono is so awesome. Words can't quite describe my love for it. It's from Spell Designs. If you don't know about Spell Designs you must! They have some of the most beautiful clothing my eyes have ever seen. They are out of Australia but ship world wide! Click pic above to get there! This kimono is great over a bathing suit, shorts and a cute basic, or what I have done with it despite the snow. I will throw on a long sleeve cute top under it if I'm cold and want to still look cute or even a turtle neck looks good. There I go again with the Hunter rain boots keeping me dry in the snow. Jewelry by guess who.... me! Visit my shop for your own one-of-a-kind necklace.
Post Holiday Decorating
CommentDon't let the holidays end your itch to decorate. Who says we can only decorate for the holidays? No Ma'am or Sir. I say changing the house every few months is a must! It's a great way to keep a good flow of energy and keep your home always looking cozy and different. If your anything like me, all the build up before Thanksgiving and Christmas leaves me so sad when it's all over. I enjoy decorating so much that when it's over I'm a hot mess of sadness. Once it's all over and time to take everything down, I get empty house syndrome. I decided to keep the decorations coming this year. Check out some of my spring and summer decorating inspiration below!
New Years Colors!
Soon as the Christmas tree came down I got the itch to put something else out. This was my inspiration for January. Not ready to say by to the holidays yet but not about to leave the tree up any longer. This had a New Years feel to it as well.
Spring!
Spring does not need to look like the Easter Bunny threw up at your house. Don't get me wrong, if that 's your thing go for it. I just like to be a little more subtle about it. Even if it's just a matter of changing out your darker pillows for some lighter options. Tip. TJ Max is a great option for affordable pillows all year round. Heck, try throwing in some yellows and blues and pink if your real brave. I love pink. Mix and match your furniture so you don't have to spend more money. Find an old table at a garage sale and paint it white, throw a beautiful simple glass vase on it with some colorful tulips in it, put some lemons in a light colored bowl, a white candle, and call it a day. It really helps with seasonal depression too. Get's you doing something fun for yourself and lightens up the house. Try burning some sage every few months to move out old energy as well. It really helps.
Summer!
Throw yourself a party, do whatever you have to do because you made it to summer! The season most of us are most excited about. Whether it's the weather or the fact that vacations tend to happen around summer, it's just a fabulous time of the year. I understand there are a lot of polar bears out there who prefer cooler climates so winter is your jam, not me, I'm not a polar bear but I do love my polar bears.
You don't need to live at the beach to make your home look like you live at the beach. You don't need to live in an enchanted garden to make your home look like you love plants and flowers. I don't know about you but I think almost everyone wishes they lived at the beach or in an enchanted garden. Or maybe it is just me and growing up in California I love fairy tales. Keeping that beach feeling to your home is all about adding whites and light colored lightweight fabrics. Sand and shells in glass jars, flowers and plants everywhere. Give your living room texture by stacking old vintage books and putting Mason jars on them with pink roses. Keep flowers next to your bed and in your bathroom. Add plants to your kitchen and pray you can keep them alive! Spring is magical because it's the rebirth of life that has gone to sleep to survive cold climates, so now let's enjoy the beauty and leave those reminders all over the house. The house smells so incredible when you have gardenia, lavender, honey suckle, and roses all over the place. This also can make you feel like your a princess living in an enchanted garden. I'm one of those girls who says you can never have enough flowers..... and shoes of course.
Free People is my Jam
CommentWhen you want to stay warm but still look cute....
Ya, that can be tough! I find so often it's either comfy and not cute or dressed up and not comfortable. Not anymore folks! That's what I'm here for. We do not need to look bad while we hang in lounge clothing.
I'm so in love with this Free People sweater because not only is it warm on it's own, I can throw a thick long sleeve under it and I don't feel like a snowman who can't move their arms! I was in 40 degree weather in this and didn't feel like I was dying from the cold. Although a cute jacket would have been even warmer. Say hi to our dog Dakota by the way! She's a rock star. Anyway, this sweater is affordable and in the spring can be worn over a tank with a pair of lacy shorts and knee high boots to give it a whole new look (See Outfits for more ways to wear this sweater).
These Vince Camuto boots have been my go-to boots all winter. I have mentioned them before in previous posts. I have them in all colors because they are SO COMFY and not crazy expensive. I walked a mile the other day in them because I forgot my sneakers and my feet didn't hurt at all. They're also very flattering on the leg with a cute pair of skinny jeans tucked in. I find they elongate my legs (which tend to run on the shorter more muscular side) very flattering. Click on the picture above to find the boots and on the first two pictures above to get your Free People sweater today, or one like it. They always have great sweater options at Free People.
The Greatest Day Planner on Earth!
CommentThe Day Designer by Whitney English
I have found the greatest day planner of all time!
Call me old fashion but I like to mark it down in ink. I do love technology and think that phones are rather handy but I prefer to write my life down on paper so I can see it and then turn the page. This day planner has been a game changer for me. Not only is it beautiful and girly and so much fun, it's perfectly designed to help get your life in order. I have pretty bad attention deffest disorder so I tend to get overwhelmed by scheduling and my Iphone is wonderful since I can talk to people in other countries but the calendar on the other hand doesn't work for me so much.
There are so many pretty colors and designs to choose from and I love that each day has a special inspirational quote on it. My most favorite part about the Day Designer is I love the woman who created it. Her name is Whitney English and she sure is a special human. I'm very grateful for her and what she has created. She's an inspirational human and so beautiful inside and out. See more about Whitney and by visiting her website and find how you can grab yourself the perfect Day Designer for you! Spell Jumper- Must Have
1 CommentDon't laugh at how serious I'm trying to look in these pictures. I wasn't blessed with luscious pouty lips and that hot serious face so I never masted the model look. Anyway! On to more important things. I can hardly contain my love for this company and this jumper. It looks so amazing with boots and if I'm going out and want to feel sexy, I add a pair of heels and it totally changes the look from casual to dressy. Spell Designs is a company based out of Australia that ships world wide and every item they sell is a serious gem. They are probably one of my favorite clothing lines I have found. So many of my long dusters are from them. I really like that this jumper is long sleeve so it keeps it classy because some jumpers can be dicey and ride up a tad too high so it knocks it from class to bad. I tried to be clever but couldn't find a good rhyme that was appropriate.
This little black fringe clutch is so cute and has so many amazing little pockets and zippers to keep everything in order! Small bags are hard to find because they don't always have enough pockets and zippers. This bag does and it's super affordable!

Winter Wonderland
CommentDon't let winter bring you down!
It's starting to look a lot like COLD, but I refuse to let the cold weather stop me from dressing up. I found this awesome dress that's a much heavier weight than it looks at Zaful on line. A lot of people are skeptical of Zaful because unfortunately they have been known to send clothes that don't look like they do in their pictures . I have had that problem with them only a few times, but the clothing is so cheap it didn't make me want to sell the car for money. I have also ordered several times and been very happy with my order. This dress came just as it looked on line and I LOVE it. It's super affordable and very comfortable. It keeps me really warm and throwing on a pair of black leggings or tights with it, will help keep you even warmer when the temperature really starts to drop. Sad face. These are some of my favorite boots I own from Freebird. They help this outfit look even cozier and keep my toes warm in the Nashville winters.

I love my new Chloe Metallic Clutch from Francesca's. Click on picture above to get yours today!
These Vince Camuto 'Hilsy Black Toe Boots' are my favorite. I have them in every color! They are so comfortable and flatter the leg. I have mentioned this before, I have larger calves from sports and some boots accentuate them, these boots help make my legs look longer and my calves smaller!
Bohemian Fall Look
CommentKeeping The Boho look year round: Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall
I love mixing and matching different summer tops with a heavier fall skirt to keep it light, yet warm and cozy. Add a scarf to this look for extra warmth.
Grab a beautiful heavy vintage long skirt and add it to one of your favorite summer tops with a little lace throw to get this look. Adding in a boot keeps you warm and gives the final touch of fall. If you really want to warm this look up, add a solid scarf in grey or dark blue. Here are some of my favorite scarves.
